Heartsaver AED CPR

Saturday, February 18th 9:00 am Edwards Room

Anyone can learn CPR – and everyone should! Sadly, 70 percent of Americans may feel helpless to act during a cardiac emergency because they either do not know how to administer CPR or their training has significantly lapsed. This alarming statistic could hit close to home, because home is exactly where 88 percent of cardiac arrests occur. Put very simply: The life you save with CPR is mostly likely to be someone you know and care about.

This lifesaving course will teach you the basic skills you will need in an emergency.  It is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training – perfect for parents, grandparents, and other lay rescuers –  just like YOU!  All ages from 10 to 100 are welcome to attend.

We cover CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) use for adults and children, CPR for infants, as well as how to relieve choking in all ages.  We will go over different types of CPR barriers available for use outside of a clinical setting.

Dress comfortably as we do many sets of compressions on the floor (or on a table if needed).

Preregistration is required Kim Webb 413-539-2155 kimelawebb@hotmail.com

Class is FREE.

No certification is provided – ask Kim for information if you need a certification card.

All practice materials and handouts included*.

*Books and masks are available for purchase at cost.
