No matter who wins which contest, our country will need a way to “increase the peace.”  We cannot yet tell what forms that will take or what might be required of us to help it happen, but if the conduct of the election proves anything, it may be that we need help to make positive change.  Therefore, on Wednesday at 6:00 PM in our sanctuary, we will hold a half hour Post-Election Prayer Vigil, jointly planned by ministers of Edwards Church, First Churches and The Unitarian Society of Northampton.  This will not be a celebration or a post-mortem, but a time of reflection and, we intend, gathering hope.
