Theresa Thompson is a powerhouse gospel-singer who has been the vocalist of the Paul Winter Consort for many years\, as well as a collaborator with Pete Seger\, John Rutter\, Dream Theatre\, and many others. Joel A. Martin is not only the creator of the Jazzical series\, but has performed with Cab Calloway\, the NY Philharmonic\, and is a touring pianist with the legendary Soprano\, Kathleen Battle. These three world-class musicians will be joined by the Edwards Church Choir and will perform an evening of spectacular music which should not be missed (including a premiere by church member Dave Haughey). The program includes the premiere of local composer Salvatore Macchia’s piece “From Concord\,” as well as commissions of new works by young and emerging composers Mara Penatzer and Ben Wylie. These pieces will be presented alongside the works of internationally acclaimed composers such as Olivier Messiaen and Salvatore Sciarrino. \nErin Dubois received a Master’s degree in flute performance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst\, studying with Christopher Krueger. She is frequently seen in performance throughout the area with the Precious Metals Flute Ensemble\, the Sterlina Duo\, and in a duo with her husband\, percussionist Kyle Dubois. \nAndrew D’Antonio teaches class piano and piano pedagogy at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a faculty member at the Community Music School of Springfield.
