SUMMARY:Music at the Crossroads featuring David Kidwell
DESCRIPTION:The second Music at the Crossroads concert of 2019 will take place in the sanctuary on Friday\, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free\, but donations will go to the Friends of Hampshire County Homeless Individuals. \nThe first half of the concert will feature Minister of Music David Kidwell playing a selection of his recently published organ arrangements. The organ will be moved to the center of the chancel for maximum visibility. \nChoir section leader Mary Annarella will join David in the second half of the concert for songs by Jason Robert Brown\, Jake Heggie\, and Gwyneth Walker. Mary and David will perform Walker’s Emily Dickinson song cycle\, Emily!\, which was written for them in 2015. \nMusic at the Crossroads is in its third season at the Edwards Church of Northampton. The series aims to present an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary music\, in accordance with the church’s vision statement.
