The Edwards Church Choir provides choral leadership for our Sunday worship services. Dedicated to praising God through music, talented volunteers and professional singers lift their voices together to create a choir of exceptional quality.

Edwards Church ChoirOur versatile choir enjoys a huge range of musical styles. Repertoire includes classical music from the Renaissance through the 21st century, anthems, oratorios, spirituals, gospel, Broadway, and rock. The choir has also premiered over two dozen new compositions by David Kidwell, our Minister of Music.

Choral selections highlight both the liturgical and secular calendars:

  • Songs for social justice in January.
  • Spirituals for African American History Month in February.
  • Special anthems for Holy Week and Easter.
  • Music for environmental awareness on Earth Day.
  • Guest instrumentalists for Thanksgiving.
  • A Festival of Lessons and Carols for Christmas, plus caroling in downtown Northampton.

Edwards Church ChoirConcert performances have included the Fauré Requiem (with the Holyoke Civic Symphony), Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna (with Schola Nova), Ron Kean’s American Mass, and the George Gershwin tribute I’ve Got Gershwin.
