Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
In March of 2016, Edwards Church launched a new children’s music program. It’s designed for kids from age six to twelve, and it features a choir, a handbell choir, and a mixed instrumental ensemble. Children meet after the worship service on selected Sunday mornings to rehearse for about half an hour. Their music is presented in worship on Easter, Pentecost, for the Christmas pageant, and on other special Sundays. It’s a great way for children to develop their musical gifts, share them with the congregation, and experience the joy of making music.
The Directors of Children’s Music are Dan and Michelle Prindle. Dan is a cellist and multi-instrumentalist, and Michelle is a classically trained soprano. Together they also run the Prindle School in Easthampton.
