Resting in the Breath:  Healing Practice for Mind and Body

Our daily lives are made up of times of being awake and of times of being asleep, but what about resting?  In our busy lives, do we know how to rest?  And further, even after sleeping, why is it that sometimes we do not feel rested?

You are invited to join our mindfulness group this spring as we explore “resting in the breath,” a mindfulness practice that teaches us how to breathe with awareness, how to calm our body and mind, and how to rest there.  This is a beautiful, ancient, and practical practice that can guide sitting or walking meditation, and it can also offer us rest in moments throughout the day or night.

This mindfulness group is open to those who are experienced in meditation as well as to those who are complete beginners.  The group welcomes youth who are in sixth grade and above as well as adults of all ages.  We will meet in the chancel area of Edwards Church.  Linda Vincent will be facilitating.
