Finding strength in our diversity, we call on all our talents to worship and serve.
Edwards Church Vision Statement, 2015
The “Congregational way” recognizes that although we can all be touched by God, none of us fully understands God. No one holds the whole map. Our best hope is in coming together, collaborating (literally, co-laboring) to discern and fulfill God’s dream for us, as individuals and a community. Lay leaders of our church, elected each year, collaborate with the ministers to discern God’s dream for us and to strive to fulfill it through worship, spiritual formation and service to the world.
Toward that end, we use a traditional system of boards and committees, responsible for different ministries and activities of the church.
- Board of Trustees
- Board on Faith Formation
- Church Council
- Committee on Christian Outreach
- Visioning Committee
- Music Committee
- Stewardship Committee
- Investment Committee
- Personnel Committee
- Committee on Nominations
- Pastor-Congregation Relations Committee
- Memorial Committee
